Rachel W. Teal indulged her passion for words after careers in both the music business and the legal field. With over ten years’ experience as a paralegal in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, she decided to write a novel that combined elements of her two favorite genres: murder mysteries and romance. The result was The Gathering Place, a cat and mouse romantic suspense set in Tennessee that follows Lucas Harper’s legal troubles after he’s been accused of murdering his girlfriend. Prior to The Gathering Place, Rachel authored a blog on Cushing’s Disease, a devastating and sometimes deadly endocrine disorder that she was diagnosed with in 2008. Now in remission, she advocates for others and raises awareness of this rarely diagnosed condition. You can find her blog at here. For Rachel, the best part of writing novels is falling in love with her characters, and those that other authors have created. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, traveling and cuddling with her cats Pippa, Gladys and Gibson. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
